Unjala Seva

Unjala Seva, also known as Unjal Seva or Dolotsavam, is a sacred ritual where deities are placed on a cradle-like swing and gently swayed.

It is performed in Hindu temples, here to Ranaganathaswamy ,in "Addala Matapam" and is believed to be a form of worship and a way for devotees to experience the deities' blessings..

"Unjal" refers to the swing or cradle, and "Seva" means service or worship. So, Unjal Seva literally means the deities are being "seated" or "being served" in the cradle.
